A equipa de Seniores Masculinos Os Gordos vai disputar um lugar no pódio do EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup, depois de ter perdido a meia-final por 2-1, frente ao Club BM Playa Ciudad de Malaga. A equipa espanhola ganhou a primeira parte por 13-10 e os portugueses conseguiram a vitória no segundo tempo, por 22-20. No desempate por shootout, melhor sorte para os actuais campeões nacionais, que ganharam por 5-4.
Assim, OS Gordos / Labminho – Clube Naval de Leça vão lutar pelo 3º lugar com Orosházi FKSE Hír-Sat, às 13h30.
SENIORES FEMININOS LUTAM PELO 5º LUGAR
No jogo de apuramento do 5º ao 8º lugar, a equipa de Seniores Femininos Os Gordos venceram o BHT GRU JUKO Piotrkow Trybunalski por 2-1. A equipa portuguesa ganhou a primeira parte por 15-14, enquanto as polacas foram mais eficazes na segunda parte (11-3). No desempate por shootout, Os Gordos ganharam por 10-8.
Assim, Os Gordos vão jogar para o 5º/ 6º lugar no último jogo da competição, frente ao SPORT CLUB Senec – Cannabis Energy Drink – com quem perderam na fase de grupos – em jogo a realizar às 12h00.
